Ken,

Oh yeah? Don't get me started......

Did you ever notice how often musicians (on topic?) in T.V. and movies are playing some other music besides what your hearing? Like you're seeing cymbals and hearing hi-hat? How hard can it be to at least have them play the same song?

One of my favorite pet peeves is when they try and depict a boom-box. Somebody pops and old cassette into one of those Radio Shack, books on tape, table top, three inch speaker, kind of things and it sounds like the Boston Symphony Orchestra is in your living room. What do they take us for? It's a wonder I can sleep at night.

: This is way off topic so I will keep it short.

: Why is it whenever I watch a TV show like Law & Order or something like it and someone comes up to a mic, the foley engineer responsible for sound FX, must put a little feedback, usually around 4k to 8k into the mix. Why is this? Is there any reason for it? Why can't they just show someone coming up to a podium or whatever and just let it be? I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but it is very annoying. It seems like Hollywood is purposely dumbing down our profession.

: Thank you for letting me get this off my chest, I feel better now, I think.
