While I thought it was a good idea at the time I thank both of you for your frank and candid responce before I started running amuck with the skill saw. LOL
As I stated in my 1st post, the club ownwer knows we need a new monitor rig but I really don't think he knows what the bottom line will be. We haven't discussed it yet because he still has 1 more payment on the rig he just bought. BTW, here is what we have for the club:

Mains & FOH
4-EAW 325's Biamped dead hung
2-SB528 on the floor
6-Crest 2ea 8002,CA-9,CA-6
2-DBX x-overs
1-Ashly GQX stereo 31band EQ
1-DBX DDP sys limiter
1-A&H 3300 32mono ch
Lexicon,Yamaha,TC-Electronis,Art FX
DBX,Behringer,Joe Meek,Valley Gatex Dynamics

The above should satisfy pretty much any B level blues act for a 350 capacity club. We can fit more ppl in there but thats what the fire marshal rates the capacity at.

This is where the rig lacks:

Monitors
2 Klipsh 1"x15" passive-Kinda honky, but OK
2 JBL 1"x12" Can't get em loud enough
1 Drum box consisting of a Yammie front loaded 1x18" sub and 2 yammie dual 10"xsuper tweet front loaded. Not sure of the model #'s of the yammies.
2 x Carver PM 900 & 1.5's
Peavey EQ's with feedback locator system. Questionable filters, don't start working until 10db cut

What should I keep and what should I get rid of? I was hoping to get rid of everything from the EQ's to the wedges and start from scatch. I would like to keep the budget under $6000.00 but I'm not even sure I have that kinda dough to work with yet. The first thing I want to see go is the Peavey EQ's. I would like to replace them with an Ashly Protea. After that I don't know what to do. A suggestion on decent passive 15"x2" wedges that won't break the bank, but would be acceptable. Keep in mind that we will have some bands with horn sections.

I would appreceate your profesional opinions.

Thank You again,
Ken Barlow

: Tom makes many a good point. I have also(and still)design/build/repair loudspeakers for a living, and personally have gone through many designs to get where I'm at currently-and I have access to talent and equipment that really make it possible to do this-for which I am very grateful. I feel at this stage in your situation the problems of rider acceptability are going to be paramount, so building your own would have to basically entail copying a well known design that is in current use. There may not be any advantage over buying them used, and questionable advantage building them yourself, unless you are already setup with a shop and talent and materials.
