In the frequency transfer jpg, I can see that the Behringer stays within a 4dB window (relative to the Earthworks M30) until 20kHz. Since the Earthworks calibration graph shows the M30 to be (with a suspi>ciously 'smoothed' line) within a 0.7dB window until 20kHz that means the actual response of the Behringer could be .7dB closer to flat or .7dB farther from flat. We don't know. It might be more or less, depending on whether the M30 freq response really has little peaks and valleys that are not shown.
You said you tested three ECM8000 mics -- which one is shown? The worst one, the average one or the best (flattest) one? How did the three compare to each other? How much difference?
One more test I'm interested in is a strong sine tone fed to the Genelecs. I would like to see someone else's results to know if the harmonic ringing I saw in my ECM8000 (relative to my M30) is true for all Behringers or just mine.
I agree that the M30 is a better mic!
