Maybe both HPFs would do something good for the subwoofers. Maybe not. Using both at the same time will get a steeper 24dB slope

It might have a steeper slope, but it might also have a very interesting phase response.

While high-order filters are built by running some number of first- and second-order stages in series, you need to do the math to ensure you get the response you expect.
