The skunk story has gotten a lot of mileage around here, but it's got a lot of life left...
I think I told the story of me and the boss removing an 18ft body from a straight truck with a front-end loader, no??
And yesterday, another doosey...Our shop is way out in the woods, among the locals who, shall we say, solve problems in a most creative (read "life-threatening") manner. Codes?? What codes?? The latest..
"Dumb" and "Dumber", who live down the road apiece decided about 8:30 Sunday night that the ol beaver dam in their fishin' hole just had to go, no ifs, ands, or butts (mis-spelling intentional) about it. So's they go get 4 stick of good ol' DYNAMITE and proceed to undo Mr. Beaver's handiwork. And they did. That pesky ol' damn just went to pieces....along with that pesky ol' 12" water main about 5 feet under the damn that services, ohh, about 350 families. Ok, except that the boss is on the community's water board and gets to deal with this event until about 4 in the morning. So I'm fielding phone calls and working on gear while he's still adding figures up on this one. Fortunately, his home and our shop were un-affected by the loss of water.

Hell, I'd kinda like to have a story like some of these here, but I learned a looong time ago to be very careful about what you ask for....you may screw around and get it.

I still like the Full Sail grad commandeering my laptop and playing with SmaartPro. After a while, he declared that the coherence of the rig was "outstanding"..this in the middle of a show with a noisy 4th of July crowd and a 10-15 MPH wind. Oh, yea....

Geri "still dry after all these minutes" O
