Two years ago this June I did the first graduation for a new high school in North Sacramento (adjacent to Rio Linda, made famous by Rush Limbaugh for it's resident's tendency to marry their cousins). The graduation was a joke from the start when I got there at 2PM for a 6PM graduation in the stadium and nothing was set up yet, no chairs no stage nothing; and it took me twenty minuets for me to find someone to tell me that all the chairs and staging where over at the elementary school for a three o'clock graduation and, "They should be arriving shortly". The height event came about two-thirds of the way through the diploma distribution when the crowd started screaming like crazy! One of the "graduates" had ripped off her graduation robe to bare all and exposed some pretty creative body paint to say the least. She ran within an arms length of me as I had been behind and off to one side of the stage. After she sprinted across the football field butt naked she scaled the 3' track fence and the 8' perimeter fence! The best part was somebody in the bleachers got some pretty decent footage of all this that stayed on all the local news stations for three nights with the help of some follow up interviews.
Why do I feel like I’ve written this for a different type of audience? :)
