So I guess you've seen the "Ted Nugent" Sign. Kind of a plywood covered with allum. signature type of thing.

Anyway, we're doing them in an older theater. They have rigged this sign to a pipe just US of the US truss. The house flyman is running this heavy bastard up and it begins swinging a bit. As it passes the US truss, the top of the "T" catches on the truss. The flyman doesn't notice and gives it a good tug. All at once the "T" breaks off and drops 20' to the deck, smashing a few guitar cases on the way.

For a few seconds no one says a word.

Then from the flyrail you hear "GIMME A T" in full cheerleader style.

I about soiled myself> So I turn to the production manager and say " Ed Nugent? is this one of those tribute bands?"
