Shootouts in LAB or Lounge?

: I figure a Shootout like this on LAB is exactly where it should be. This Shootout is at heart a really geeky-tweaky enterprise except for the beer (BYOB), tattoos and tasteless jokes. I consider the Lounge to be more casual- and newbie-related but a shootout that includes oscilloscopes is pretty far from that end of the scale. If a particular LABster or Lounge Lizard wants to post a Shootout on the Lounge, more power to them. I'll keep this one right here.

: Oh, I get it, you want this Shootout to be a Sticky item that stays on top of the page! Well, thanks for the vote of confidence. It sure would be cool to see some more shootouts, no doubt about it. Vocal mics would be a fine effort but difficult to evaluate objectively. DSP crossovers is another subject to think about but again, difficult to test since many are 'apples to oranges' comparisons. Mixing consoles would be good but would take tons of floor space and would be very difficult to assemble all in one spot due to show schedules and shipping requirements. Compressors, amps, 'verbs, wedges, IEMs etc. etc. Lots of choices for comparisons.
