: I can probably supply a white 4000 series and a furman. Possibly BSS FCS 960, AL SC31and/or BIAMP eq290 (if they're available, I only own the first two)
What's this, Michael? You're going to snag someone's EQ out from under them?! ... :^) What if they have a gig right then? The two White models that I think are most appropriate to the specific restrictions of this test are the 4650 and 4660. If you have one of those I would be glad if you could make it available. A 4400 or 4001 model would be interesting to examine but not quite right for monitor mixing since the controls are all pots instead of sliders. I've contacted a guy I know at Furman (the VP of engineering) and he's looking into the matter. Furman Sound has moved away from graphic EQs these days and concentrates on AC power conditioning, a single model of parametric EQ and an extensive line of headphone monitoring devices. Perhaps my friend will be able to locate a dusty contender in some backroom storage space. Nevertheless, your Furman GEQ would be good to see on the gig. What model is it? Let's pencil in your Furman since I don't know yet if Furman Sound will be able to hook me up with any of their out-of-production jobs. The BSS FCS 960 and the AL SC31 are still being haggled over locally but nobody I know has a biamp eq290. While I don't ask for you or anyone else to take part in sneaky after-hours equipment shuffling, I would like to test a biamp EQ-290 or mEQ-301. Contact me off the board to work out further details. -Bink
I would never advocate that kind of fast and loose asocial behavior unless it was for a very good reason.
