In Reply to: I find it ridiculous that you would leave out White 4400's because they are pots instead of faders. It seems to me that you are saying you need to see the graph of the EQ to know your frequency and if that is the case I have new questions to myself as far knowing what frequency is ringing. I tend to find the frequency before I ever look at the EQ but hey, if seeing the fader tells you the problem, what could I answer that with. posted by Mike G on December 05, 2003 at 20:37:08:

Mike, please keep your subject line short, and use the comments box for your comments. Also, Posts that have just a subject line with no text in the comments are frowned upon here.

As for the shootout, Bink set some parameters for the products (faders instead of pots, 1/3 octave, no parametrics) so he could evaluate MONITOR APPLICATION GRAFFIC EQS. The TERM Graffic should sum it all up. Its hard for a person to look at rotary knobs and see a representation of their curve! Its also hard for many visiting engineers to feel comfortable with knobs instead of faders on an EQ. If you read Binks origional post about the shootout further down the board, he has explained his reasons.
