Okay, good, a real world experience of the various Whites. Interesting that the slider models were so much different in production values than the pot versions. Were they cheaper to buy?

So, Geri, why bother with these old EQs? Some of them are still in working rigs here and there. Also, I just want to find out how far we've come or if we lost a little something along the way. Like is the UREI 527A still a champion in its old age? Or is it just another faded contender? What if we find that the White 4001 is the most resistant to EMF -- perhaps a reexamination of the technology is in order. Anyway, if you knew me, the reason would be obvious. I love old stuff! I listen to Hot Jazz 78rpm records on an old '40s era Delco HiFi for kicks and I am a member of the local Historical Society and I volunteer at the Silent Film Festival... you get the picture. Old EQs had to be part of the deal.
